The topic that is frequently asked in IELTS Speaking, with personal experience I sharing my way to answering this Question hope this will help you in your exam time.
The three parts of the IELTS speaking section include the Introduction, the Cue Card section, and the Discussion round. For the topic of the Cue Card “Describe a skill that you can teach other people,” we have five model answers and five follow-up questions to help you fine-tune your speaking skills and to help you boost your IELTS score.
Introduction:
I must admit that I haven’t really learned that many skills in my life that are actually worth teaching to anybody. Besides, even if I knew those skills, I just wouldn’t be able to teach them properly because my teaching ability is very mediocre at its best. Still, I will try to talk about a skill which I think is good to learn for everybody, especially, if we want to learn how to become patient!
What type of skill it is:
Now, one of the skills I want to discuss is “fishing”. Now, I realize that most people like to associate the act of fishing with “getting mere luck”, but they do so mainly because they just do not understand the “arts and science” of fishing. Put simply, it is a skill, and an excellent one at that, to learn how to fish because it not only empowers a person to appreciate the joy of fresh fish as an excellent source of healthy protein but also teaches him how to “focus” and remain patient all at once.
How you learned it:
Anyway, during my early childhood, I became interested in learning this particular skill when I found that one of my elder cousins could catch dozens of fish within a relatively shorter period of time while the others, sitting and waiting for hours, could not even fetch even one! In fact, soon after that, I started to realize a number of important factors, from the choice of good fishing spots, information about the types/sizes of fish one is targeting to a proper hook setting.
How you plan to teach it to others:
Well, of course, I cannot teach this particular skill by just giving over a “fishing manual” to anybody but rather take him or her to a useful fishing site to help him/her do it step by step.
And explain how this skill can help them:
So, will this fishing skill help anybody? Well, it sure would because it would teach somebody to become and remain utmost patient – a personal trait that we all seek within ourselves. Besides, it would also let someone enjoy mother nature, away from the normal crowd and noise of our life.
Final Words: Consult with an Expert

The simple mantra of practice with consistency along with expert feedback will light the path to achieving high scores, especially significant ones, in the IELTS Speaking test.
